OMR is a synonym for " Old Man Racing " and was established in 2000.

 

One day my best friend in UAE stated following: It's time for you to buy a proper bike & race it like a " REAL MEN " .

I shortly after bought an Adventure 640 and decided to take part in the " UAE Desert Challenge in Dubai ", a race for the FIM RALLY World Cup.

During the registration process for the Rallye, I had to learn that - at the age of 49 - to one of the oldest competitors taking part in the race.

With this in mind, I developed a kind of self-preservation instinct and declared that I would never use my age as an excuse for slower or even fearful driving, but instaed fighting every younger rider and for every single position.

 

Technique, speed and endurance can even develop to an advantage in old age, especially when it comes to multi-day desert rallies or other long distance races!

 

The saying "AGE IS NOT FEAR" should serve from now on as a reminder and a declaration of war against the youth!
